Design Story

Behind the Illustration

Johanna started with a play on picking flowers, so here the women are the flowers and the cowboy at the centre is gathering a bouquet. It is part old Western, part valentine, with the dusty romance of Gunsmoke and The Big Valley running underneath. A whole courtship in one square of cotton.
