Behind the Illustration

Three generations of women in this family have loved plants: our mother's green thumb, our Costa Rican grandmother's garden, our Italian great-grandmother's botany. Francesca filled the scarf with the tropical greenery of Costa Rica and let a moth find its flame in the middle of it. Call it serendipity or the invisible string; either way, hello.
