Design Story

Behind the Illustration

Based on growing up going to plant nurseries; our mother has a huge green thumb, and our grandmother from.

Costa Rica & our great-grandmother from Italy loved plants and botany.

Wanted to pay homage to Costa Rica and the tropical plants that are everywhere.

Love the idea of moths and their love of a “flame”—like the “flame” you feel with someone you love.

Love the idea of serendipity, and the “invisible string” theory; chance meetings, love at first sight etc.
